The biggest show of the year, WrestleMania XXVII, is now just days away and the WWE is gearing up for one of the most explosive nights in its history.
Scottish Superstar Drew McIntyre is currently not scheduled to compete, but even though he has not yet confirmed a match in Atlanta, he has vowed to make an impact on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
“I’ll make sure I’m involved. It’s WrestleMania. I’m certainly not going to sit back and watch,” the former Intercontinental Champion told skysports.com.
If the Ayr-born grappler does indeed play a part at the Georgia Dome on Sunday April 3, it will be his second WrestleMania performance.
Last year, McIntyre was part of the 10-man Money in the Bank ladder match. Having started wrestling at the age of 15, that appearance in front of 72,000 people fulfilled a life-long ambition.
Jack Swagger went on to win that bout at the University of Phoenix Stadium. But even after all of the pain of the ladders inflicted on him, McIntyre made sure he dragged himself up to witness the main event.
“Then I got to watch Undertaker versus Shawn Michaels – the greatest match of all time.”
