WWE officials have reportedly decided to put Brodus Clay’s “Funkasaurus” gimmick on hold for the time being, according to the Wrestling Globe Newsletter. Despite the positive reaction that the character received from live audience and Internet fans, WWE officials feel that Clay’s wrestling wasn’t where it needed to be for WWE TV.
Clay’s match against Heath Slater was cut from SmackDown a few weeks back when the decision was made that Clay needed to improve on his in-ring skills.
- This i believe was the segment, that Drew ran and attacked Brodus a few weeks back on Smackdown.

There has been talk of giving Drew McIntyre a makeover with his current storyline where he becomes more of an “arrogant playboy.” Despite appearing to have his job in jeopardy, there are no plans to drop Drew from the SmackDown storylines.
As noted earlier today, Drew McIntyre is set to get a new gimmick soon and the BOK Center is advertising him as “Arrogant Playboy” Drew McIntyre for tomorrow night’s SmackDown tapings. At the same time they have other nicknames for the WWE Superstars like “Man of the People” Ted DiBiase, “Gutsy” Daniel Bryan, “Malevolent” Wade Barrett, “Simply Grand” Natalya, “Vindictive Leader” Hunico and “Twisted and Tormented” Cody Rhodes.
WWE wrestlers Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre were spotted enjoying “Blue Man Group” at the Venetian last Thursday. In addition, DJs Andre Allen Anjos and Karl Kling of RAC, Remix Artist Collective, were also seen in the audience. The popular duo recently debuted their monthly residency at Savile Row inside the Luxor.
