    [ Digitals] [ Caps - Match] [ Video]

Match: Over the top battle royal
Derrick Bateman is the first man eliminated by Otunga. Hey look, Comacho’s in this thing I think this is the first time we’ve seen him actually in a match. Percy Watson is tossed out by Justin Gabriel next. Titus O’Neil gets tossed out by Ezekiel Jackson while Drew McIntyre eliminates one of the Uso brothers. Drew press slams Tyson Kidd right out of the ring on top of the eliminated Uso in a nice spot. Slater is casually eliminated by a boot from Mahal while Darren Young and Ted DiBiase both try to skin the cat at the same time until Ted kicks Young out to eliminate him. Hunico tosses Tatsu out while Comacho is eliminated off the apron by DiBiase. Santino keeps sort of walking around, avoiding any actual contact with anyone, which works until Reks and Hawkins spot him. McGillicutty is eliminated as we take our last commercial break. When we return Gabriel has eliminated Curt Hawkins out of the corner. The Colons toss Alex Riley out next and then throw Johnny Curtis into Reks, eliminating both of them as well. The remaining Uso brother is tossed out by Epico, but then his own partner Primo eliminates him from behind. Every man for himself I guess. Hunico eliminates DiBiase but DiBiase drags him out with him. Gabriel and Primo do a great little sequence teasing several elimination attempts on the apron and that alone has to be the highlight of the match and show so far. Finally Gabriel knocks Primo off the apron with a spinkick, but Ezekiel Jackson clotheslines him out from behind anyways seconds later. Zeke dumps Jinder Mahal out and we’re down to the final four with Big Zeke, Santino, Otunga, and McIntyre. The heels gang up on Santino but Zeke breaks it up. Drew hands out a few big boots but then gets dumped out by Santino from behind while he’s busy gloating. Crowd is chanting for Santino as he low bridges Zeke, eliminating the big man and bringing it down to Otunga and Santino. Santino does his own mini Hulk up routine and hits Otunga with a hip toss, but misses the follow up diving headbutt. Sloppy neckbreaker from Otunga. Otunga tries to toss Santino, but Marella counters and tosses Otunga out to win the battle royal and earn a place in the Elimination Chamber.

    Winner: Santino

    [ Digitals] [ Caps - Segment] [ Caps - Match] [ Video]

    Segment: Drew,Santino & Teddy Long
Backstage Santino Marella and Yoshi Tatsu introduce themselves to Teddy Long as a new tag-team (though they can’t decide if they should be called “Sant-oshi” or “Yoshi-tino”) when Drew McIntyre interrupts. Teddy tells him he’s skating on thin ice for the dozenth time and then books him into a match with Sheamus up next.

    Match: Drew Mcintyre vs Sheamus
This does not bode well for Drew. Cole tries to compare Drew to Alex Smith of the 49ers. I’m not touching that one with a ten foot pole. Drew is fiery to start with some dropkicks and forearms. He hits a nice bridging Northern Lights suplex on the Irishman for a two count and then follows with a snap suplex. It’s not long before Sheamus is making his comeback though, hitting a powerslam and then finishing Drew off with the Brogue Kick.

    Winner: Sheamus

Segment 1: Drew was a lumberjack in the Mark Henry vs Daniel Bryan match
Drew McIntyre was ringisde during the match.

Segment 2: Teddy Long and Drew Mcintyre
Drew McIntyre is in the back and gets fired by Teddy Long. Santino interrupts and asks for one more match with Drew with some Vegas casino quips. Drew spins the wheel and gets a blindfold match.

Match: Drew Mcintyre vs Ted Dibiase
Drew is already in the ring when Santino makes his entrance. Wonder who wins?

Both men get blindfolded, and the bell rings. They do some comedy stuff in the ring trying to find each other. Santino uses the crowd and goes for the Cobra, but hits the ropes. They both go over the top rope, and Drew punches the ring post. Ouch. Drew cheats, but gets lowbridged over the top rope. Santino uses the crowd again and sets the Cobra. He hits it! 1…2…3!

    Winner: Ted Dibiase

Drew goes off after the match, kicking the steel steps outside the ring.

Segment: Teddy Long and Drew Mcintyre
He dismisses everyone for a knock at the door; Teddy thinks it is Aksana, but there is no porn music playing, so it’s Drew McIntyre. Teddy stresses winning his match.

Match: Drew Mcintyre vs Ted Dibiase
Drew is skating on thin ice and must win here or perhaps he’ll be fired. Pre-match, Hunico and Camacho come out to observe and to presumably continue the feud with Dibiase, which I like. Midcard feuds are important because it allows the lesser guys some exposure, that are not meaningless matches, simply to get them on television; thus building some interest with the fans, because despite what many say, we, the fans, do enjoy storylines, I know I have for the past 30 years. McIntyre, who is no dummy, immediately takes advantage of the distraction with a running boot just as the bell rings. He tries for a quick cover, which is also good psychology for (the normally bland) Drew, selling the desperation and importance of winning here. McIntyre pounds on Ted in the corner but Dibiase comes back chucking Drew over the top as Hunico joins on commentary. Dibiase with A TOPÉ, knocking McIntyre into the announce table; Drew comes back with a pair spinebusters into the ring apron. Hunico has his feet propped on the announce table and the storyline being presented here is simple, Hunico doesn’t like Dibiase sharing his wealth with the fans via Dibiase Posse parties. Meanwhile, McIntyre works Ted with a chinlock; Hunico then explains the significance (and cost) of the low-rider bicycles to the Latino culture. This is a good segment (despite the match sucking) because it gets over a few storylines at once, the Drew firing saga, the budding Dibiase/Hunico situation, AND it allows Hunico to get his (and Camacho’s) characters, history together, and gimmick over. Drew charges into the corner but meets a boot, spinebuster and running lariat; Dibiase to the second rope but leaps right into a McIntyre clothesline. The connection between Hunico and Camacho is that somehow Hunico saved Camacho and his famiglia back in the barrio. Back to the match, McIntyre is trying a backdrop superplex, but gets crotched instead. Dibiase immediately hits Dream Street and pins Drew clean.
    Winner: Ted Dibiase

Segment 1: Zack Ryder,Teddy Long, Santino & Drew
Elsewhere backstage Zack Ryder is talking to Teddy Long about his role as Assistant GM on Smackdown. He says that now that he’s the US champion, it’s time for him to move on, but he’s got a suitable replacement in mind. Enter Drew McIntyre to Teddy’s chagrin, but no, that’s not Zack’s replacement…Santino Marella is! Santino offers to sync Teddy’s iPod and then reminds Teddy about the stipulation that if Drew lost his match last week he’d be finished…so Teddy books a match between Drew and Santino for later tonight. If Santino wins, he becomes Teddy’s assistant, and if Drew wins Teddy will consider not firing him. Drew and Santino take off as the cheesy saxophone music cues up and Aksana enters to make dinner plans with Teddy.

Match: Drew Mcintyre vs Santino Marella
Even Cole is on Drew’s case tonight, so I guess he’s still in Vince’s doghouse. Drew is dominant to start with a sick snap suplex for a two count. Santino counters out of the Future Shock DDT attempt but eats a big lariat anyways from Drew. Both men jockey on the top rope for position and Santino drops Drew face-first on the steel post. He nails Drew with The Cobra, for the win.
    Winner: Santino Marella

Segment 2: Teddy Long and Drew
Backstage Drew begs with Teddy, and Teddy says tonight was Strike Two for him. If he fails next week, that will be Strike Three and Drew may just be done.
